Jimmy Choo an anniversary with the dominant theme of luxury, crystal and glamour
The story of Cinderella has often been interpreted as a fairytale for children and late developing adolescents falling for the first young man that came along. Nevertheless it was while strolling along the streets of London that I understood that part of this story got lost in reality and caught up with me.
In the tale, Cinderella leaves her glass slipper behind for Prince Charming to find her. In this shop, I discovered this elegant pair of Jimmy Choo shoes that my fiancée fell in love with as soon as she had seen them. She had spoken to me about them when the advert came out for the 15th Crystal Anniversary and Collections by Jimmy Choo. She took part in the launch of this exceptional edition of shoes.
On that occasion, Jimmy Choo, founder of the company and Tamara, Head Creator had announced the partnership with the famous photographer and painter Marilyn Minter in order to create the advertising campaign for ‘The Crystal Anniversary Collection’.
So for this beautiful woman with me day after day, I had to choose the perfect pair of shoes, the pair that would be synonymous with beauty, originality and excellence. She had told me that these fetish shoes of hers were made from one main piece of plexiglass and were in keeping with the jewels from the 1920s. Rich and timeless, this original creation was the centrepiece and symbol of this Jimmy Choo collection. My fiancée had convinced me and told me « I promise you, I shall wear them more than once. »
It has to be said that her wardrobe overflows with Jimmy Choo shoes. She often wears that pair from The Crystal Anniversary Collection. I must admit that this particular pair is sublime and irresistible. The daintiness and perfectly symmetrical motif decorated with circles made wonderful by the crystal suited her beautifully. In my eyes her elegance had the finishing touches needed to put her up among the ranks of any deadly weapon.
In the boutique and after several minutes spent exploring ‘The Crystal Anniversary Collection’, I came upon the item that she had fixed in her mind for some time. The evidence was there and the elegance that these shoes named Ciara exuded only confirmed my feelings about the company.
So I paid and I went home, impatient to offer my gift. My beautiful fiancée cried out « don’t tell me that…. » I took off the Jimmy Choo pair called Viola that she was wearing in order to put her in this new creation. She stood up and the chapter of Cinderella where the Prince discovers his Princess had just been recreated in front of my very eyes. The magic had once again been proved.
The new collection from Jimmy Choo will now dress with beauty and originality the feet of my very own Princess.
